The only private town in Colombia

It has a central cobbled square, adorned with a beautiful fountain, and benches shaded by large samanes, ceibas and mango trees. The chapel, with its immaculate white facade, is inspired by the Basilica of Salamina, Caldas, winner of the National Architecture Award

Its mansions with white facades, with colorful baseboards, windows and balconies, and adorned with curacao flowers, frame its narrow cobbled streets. The gates and counter-gates evoke the houses of the Antioquia towns and invite you to live the Paisa tradition in a dreamy, exclusive and small town that looks like a live museum.

The town is located on the banks of the Cauca River, between the central and western mountain ranges. It has an exuberant ecological path along the river bank, which crosses the crystalline Cruces ravine, and reaches a spectacular viewpoint overlooking the Cauca River canyon. Better writing

Cauca Viejo has two inns. One is inspired by the Villa de Medellín Station, of the Antioquia railway, while the other is the replica of a traditional panelero mill. The town also has tennis, soccer, volleyball courts, among other sports facilities.
